Job Description

To sell Global Markets (GM) Flow & Structured products and services to an assigned portfolio of clients across Africa Regions and International, in order to meet client needs, achieve annual sales targets and deliver exceptional client experience in line with the GM Africa Regions FI Sales strategy and defined risk parameters and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities Include : 

  • Sales Origination & Trade Execution: Originate, structure, price, sell, execute, and monitor Vanilla and Structured Global Markets products for Financial Institution (FI) clients across Africa and international markets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and deepen relationships with FI clients, understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and grow the regional and international client base.
  • Client Engagement & Advisory: Prepare and deliver client presentations, market insights, trade ideas, and product recommendations while ensuring exceptional client experience and seamless execution.
  • Product Development & Structuring: Collaborate with Structuring, Trading, and Research teams to design innovative investment and hedging solutions that meet evolving client requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Global Markets, Client Coverage, Investment Banking, Transaction Banking, Credit, Operations, and cross-border teams to identify opportunities and deliver solutions.
  • Revenue Growth & Performance Management: Drive FI sales revenue, achieve budget targets, monitor client profitability and trading activity, and ensure accurate transaction reporting and financial tracking.
  • Market Development & Industry Insight: Position the bank as the preferred FI partner across Africa Regions through market development initiatives, industry events, thought leadership, and ongoing analysis of market trends and regulatory developments.
  • Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, conduct standards, client onboarding processes, risk controls, digital initiatives, and high-quality service delivery across all client interactions.

Qualification: Degree Business Commerce, Economics, Finance, Accounting. Others considered.

Experience Required:
Flow Sales

Structured Sales experience is an additional advantage
Global Markets Client Management
1-2 years
Proficient experience in a client service role with a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience informally guiding less experienced team members preferred.

3-4 years
Proficient knowledge of relevant Flow & Structured products and services, in more than one asset class, with a basic understanding of Global Markets client sectors, competitor and the risk and regulatory environment.
